About Baffling Beads
Baffling Beads - formerly Baffling Beads AT - opened its doors for the first time on Etsy in May 2021. Our initial range included bracelets, anklets and earrings. The shop still exists today. Digital downloads including bead graphs and color information can still be purchased there - as well as jewelry that will not be transferred over to this online shop and will instead be sold at a reduced price.
In July 2023, the second shop - BafflingBeadsForYou - was launched, where you can buy Czech glass beads and other selected materials that we use for our own creations.
In the meantime, a lot of experimentation has been done to test out various designs. Now it is time to establish Baffling Beads as a trusted retailer for high-quality beaded jewelry. Welcome to our shop - have fun browsing!

Hi! I'm glad you found my hidden corner on the internet! My name is Maria T. E. Prauße and I am the owner of Baffling Beads. I work full-time as a software engineer and am self-employed part-time. All jewelry pieces are made by hand in my cozy beading studio at home. Currently I work on my own on "Baffling Beads", but I would love to get support for my business in the future.
I discovered my fascination for jewelry making in 2021 - but I have been very interested in glass art since I was a child. Since I started to learn more about beading, I have been exploring different weaving and embroidery techniques to make jewelry. I share my journey mainly on YouTube to connect with others and teach about this handcraft.
